Ed’s Hot Buttered Rum
My friend, Ed, makes the BEST hot buttered rum. (Seeing a trend? I just steal my friends’ work and claim it for myself!)
I actually made the mix for Christmas and didn’t have this hobby yet so I’m afraid you’re going to be short a photo or 2. So I’ll post the recipe but the pics will start with the final yummy assembly. Seriously, you folks know what butter looks like, right? Because if not, we can’t be friends.
Mix together and store in the fridge:
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 1/4 lb butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
In coffee mug, combine:
- 1 tblsp mix
- 1 shot rum
- 1 cinnamon stick
- hot water

- I'm Angela. I like food. I'm here to teach myself photography in a very public and potentially humourous way.

Great! A new way to make alcohol even more fattening…and enticing.
Good! I was about to run out!
