Brisket
Saturday we stopped by the Farmer’s Market and saw our friends from Rocking Z Ranch. Among the many goodies we picked up was a wonderful beef brisket. I couldn’t wait to braise it (partly due to the incredibly small size of my freezer, which is on top of my fridge). Check out this mouth-watering loveliness. After a hours in a bath of beer and spices, I get to the beautiful shredding, then I put the meat back in the juice and in the fridge so the meat stays moist and I can remove the fat. Then it gets warmed up and put on a bun with pickles and whatnot. I like mine with barbecue sauce; Jason likes his with A-1 sauce. Delish!

- I'm Angela. I like food. I'm here to teach myself photography in a very public and potentially humourous way.

That does not resemble any kind of post-Mardi Gras Lenten special. Yum.
Thank goodness meatless Monday is on it’s way out. Looking at that brisket is about more than I can take.
