Jason loves Chicken Fried Steak.  We had some cube steak from Rocking Z Ranch, so I attempted my first ever Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and gravy!

Flour and the egg/milk wash.

Beautiful cube steak.

Apparently the secret  is to double dip.  Dip in wash, then flour, then wash, then flour.

Oil.  Hot oil.  Hot calorie-laden oil.

Makin’ gravy.

Boil ‘em, mash ‘em, stick ‘em in a stew.  (LOTR!)

Heart attack on a plate.  Delicious heart attack.

    Excellent work! I actually made chicken fried steak today, too. Odd coincidence because I haven’t made it in a while. Juan’s not allowed to be in the kitchen with me because of the ungodly amounts of butter and high-fat milk products I use. But it’s good. Oh, so good.
